Buster

Dear Jennifer,
Wanted to write to thank you SO much for saving our Australian Shepherd Buster from a bleak future or worse. As you recall, Buster was an abused dog who had been terrorized by being tied up in a backyard and buzzed by a motorcycle going in circles around him, never let in the house of his owners, never walked, never played with, and receiving other corporal mistreatment. He even slipped his collar from where he was tied several times ending up on a main street where only Divine intervention spared his life.

When we rescued him it was difficult and 3 other dog trainers and a considerable amount of money plus our time and love could not break him of attacking other dogs and people, going berserk at motorcycles and bicycles, and forcing me to walk him at 4 AM to avoid distractions. Although we loved him and knew he had a good heart,we were at the end of our rope and planned to give him away when we miraculuously heard about you.

After we spoke at length and I completed your meticulous questionaire, you agreed to evaluate Buster at your ranch then accepted him for treatment, training, education and rehabilitation at your facility for 2 months.

It was difficult waiting but you kept us abreast of things with timely e-mails,calls and photos.

3 weeks ago I came back to the ranch to get Buster. I was astounded and thrilled-Buster was a changed "man" :-)) I stayed for 2 days of you training me so that his transformation could continue at home.

Buster is a new dog-he is happy and unafraid of people,cars,dogs,cats,rabbits,bicycles-AND MOTORCYCLES!!! I take him without MY being afraid on walks down busy streets, walking right by other dogs, and to the dog park where he plays without chasing with our other 2 dogs(who now interact with him like friends in peace and harmony) as well as all breeds of other dogs.

We had our annual office party at our house last Friday and Buster was the perfect gentleman even with 20+ people he didn't know all over the house-people who knew him from last year were amazed and wanted to know what changed him-all I needed to say was JENNIFER McCARTHY!!!

Please accept my thanks and respect for helping a truly innocent and abused creature to have a chance again for a happy useful life!! In this world of phonies, thieves and liars in the dog training business you are a true beacon of light and professionalism and your work speaks for itself.

Wishing you a joyous Xmas and a Happy 2012

Jamie and Barry Wolf

Training with Jennifer has completely changed the relationships between us, and our 4 dogs. Buddy, who (at 5 1/2 years of age) has always been a fearful and sometimes aggressive dog in public, is now, after only a few months of work, a friendly and sociable dog. In a lifetime of dogs, I have never experienced such a dramatic change in the confidence and joy we now experience with our dogs. (Not to mention the deepened bond and love we enjoy). I have worked with many dog trainers over the years and none come close to Jennifer's expertise, commitment and dedication. I highly recommend her to anyone desiring to overcome any challenge with their dogs.

Mary Campbell

We have a private jet that allows us to take our pappillon (Lola) anywhere in the world. However, before we hired Jennifer McCarthy to conduct live-in dog training, Lola's aggression made it difficult to travel. After one package session with Jennifer, she no longer has aggression problems and understands that I am in charge. We also participated in Trick Training and now Lola loves to show off her favorite trick grabbing a Kleenex when I sneeze. Thanks to Jennifer, Lola is a pleasure to take everywhere.

We knew we had a naughty dog. We didn't know we had a "sneaky little alpha". As Rooster guarded his bed, bones and bowl with nasty growls and gnashing teeth, our sweet little hound didn't seem so sweet any more. We're not sure who got more training, Rooster or us, but Rooster has changed. He's still sneaky but he's not an alpha. Thank you Jennifer for giving us back our Good Lookin' Rooster.

Jennifer McCarthy is a knowledgeable dog trainer with a caring and patient personality! She thoroughly understands how to effectively train both the owner and dog, which is hard to come by with dog trainers. After working with two other dog trainers before meeting Jennifer, my husband and I were frustrated with the results. Since as a couple we were first time dog owners it was important for us to get the most out of training our dog, but we really needed to be educated on how to accomplish this.

Meeting Jennifer changed everything and since she specializes in working with German Shepards, we were able to see how well trained our dog Kingston could be, which is comforting from the beginning. Jennifer's style of using her dogs to interact with myself and Kingston works well for us and gives each of us the chance to learn by example. Jennifer is not only a wonderful trainer who is always willing to set aside time for you and your dog, but she is a great listener and support system for helping you and your dog live up to your fullest potential!
