On June 30th, 2007 the K-9 Ranch Training Center will welcome it's two latest dog training students- Jill & Jamie Bowers. Jill & Jamie own the Thank Dog! Training company in Los Angeles, California. Jill comes with six years of training experience and Jamie with one. The two will be learning everything from a crash course in Schutzhund training, natural dog behavior, dealing with aggressive dogs as well as a trip up to Mission: Wolf for one week and much more. Aside from dog training, the two sisters have another thing in common- they're both identicle twins! It will be a pleasure working with them and it should be a great getaway from the city life of L.A.
Welcome to Colorado girls!
All my best,
Jennifer

I thought I would be highly adventurous yesterday so I went out and bought a Liberty Plus Mosquito Magnet. Have you ever heard of one of these things? It's a 40 pound contraption that has a butane tank (whatever you use for your grill) that blows out a plume of Co2 from a nozzel. The idea is that the breeding female mosquitos are attracted to this plume and hence, get sucked into a net and die. I know it sounds complicated but it is working slowly. HOWEVER, this device has caused me much anguish as to where to place it. I've researched the website, figured out where the mosquitos are nesting but I'm not quite sure if it's really working to it's full potential. I had someone set it up for me and let's just say that there wasn't much instruction on the part where you have to change the net or put in more mosquito attractant. I don't even know where that goes! Hmmm. So, needless to say, a few mosquitos have fallen to their death in the magnet but tomorrow I will be spending my lunch time wheeling it around the backyard hoping to place it perfectly near the breeding ground, upwind from the bugs and take it apart to figure out where and how to refill the mosquito attractor fluid. Let's hope it works! Isn't this exciting? Ah, life in the country... Ha!

After a great meeting in L.A. last week, I've finally picked the PR firm I'm going to go with. I was very impressed by their thorough presentation, friendliness, and firm belief in my company and what I'm doing with dogs. GolinHarris was voted Large PR Agency of the Year 2007 by The Holmes Report, Large PR Agency of the Year 2007 by the PRWeek Awards and PRWeek Editors’ Choice 2007. I think these guys know what they're doing :-) My contract will begin on Aug. 15th, 2007 and I'm very much looking forward to where this firm will take me. Congrats GolinHarris from World Class Dog Training!

Here are a few pics. from my birthday party in L.A.... We went to Saddle Ranch Chop House on Sunset and as you'll see, the night was not only filled with bull riding and cake but running into the Posh Spice reality tv show. It was a great night with my closest friends and the best b-day I've had in years :-)
