View all my photos from Mission: Wolf!
So yesterday the 45 animal behavior students showed up at Mission: Wolf. I tagged along on their tour to listen to Kent talk again about wolves and get another chance to see Maggie...
Greeting Sabertooth
She gave me a big greeting today which was nice. I also visited with Soleil and Orion again and did one more dog training lesson with some of the staff members.
Jonathan tagged along today for the training and we chatted about his experience working with protection and police K-9 units. He has a good understanding of dogs and training. I look forward to working with him in the future.
I gave my talk to the animal behavior students and it went really well! They had a lot of questions for me and I hope they took something away from it. We moved Merlin to the lower section of his enclosure today so we can get a leash on Daisy (who is a fearful wolf) to move her into the upper section tomorrow. I hope they hit it off and get along because Daisy seems like she wants more attention being in the upper pen.
My feelings about Mission: Wolf will carry on for a long time. The people just as much as the wolves, make this place with it is and I can't wait until my next visit in October. I've learned so much in one week that it will change the way I look at dogs forever. If you ever get a chance, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity that you don't want to miss. Visit Mission: Wolf and check out the wolves - it's well worth the journey!
Maggie
All my best, Jennifer
P.S. No more mice in my car! I caught the last one today - Yipee!
