Welcome!

Welcome to the first installment of Speak! my dog blog! In the future, you will find some exciting stuff here... For instances- starting next month, I will begin a two year expedition into a study of modern domestic dogs and wolves. There are some behaviors in dogs that are left with no answers and my search will begin finding this information out. I also will be researching ways in which our modern dogs have become more like humans and less like wolves. Each month, I will be traveling once a week to a few different locations. My study first begins near Silver Creek, Colorado at a wolf sanctuary known as Mission Wolf. In the next two years, my travels will take me to the remote back country of Denali, Alaska and to Yellowstone National Park. Every day, my journal will be posted on-line for your reading pleasure. Other trips to Germany to visit my family will give me the latest techniques in Schutzhund training and top imported German Shepherds to bring back to the states. Another trip to Africa to research the endangered African wild dog are all in the schedule. Stay tuned because this will be a wild ride!

On another note, today was my first riding lesson in about 12 years. So to say I'm in pain is an understatement. Funny enough, horses and natural horsemanship are another way my research takes me to precarious places. It's all in an effort to think outside the box and provide you with the best possible solutions and information done in a quick, effective and loving way for you and your dog. Why horses? Why not? Many other animals and other instructors have taught me a great deal about not only teaching people but also about connecting with dogs.

Last but not least, I'd like to thank the two individuals who made the new re-vamp of the website possible... Amy Alexander (President of World Class Dog Training) and John Benedict of Benedict Design. Both individuals have worked very hard since day one to make this website from the beginning even possible and I'm eternally grateful for their hard work, creative insight and patience... Thanks you guys- great job!!!

As we begin our journey here in Colorado, stay tuned for some really big things from World Class Dog Training... I'm looking forward to writing to you and also seeing you back here at Speak! (the dog blog).

All my best,
Jennifer
